Okay this post is a little after the fact, but what a great place to go. I was able to go up to Victoria over the labor day weekend. It was awesome weather till the day I was leaving and I had a great time. The city was having the blues fest so there were some stages scattered around the harbor. It was well attended and there was a ton of folks out “playing” in town. I rode the Galloping Goose trail on Sunday putting in almost 22 miles. Lot’s of riders out and about. I stayed at the Days Inn and the location of that property was awesome. It would be my suggestion if you can get away with not taking your vehicle to leave it state side and just ferry over. I took the Blackball from Port Angeles and that was a pretty smooth process. Cost was a bit steep and I would have really been better served without my truck but I did not have my plans set prior to the spontaneous journey and well, I needed the truck or so I thought. The Galloping Goose is worth a second trip up just to go explore and ride if you could catch a great weather weekend in BC.
